Did you ever have a sore that scabbed in its efforts to heal? Now a scab is awfully hard to ignore. It is dry and crusty and once it is picked at the tendency is to force it off, ready or not. The result of course is to expose the wound and slow the healing process.
So it is with our spiritual wounds. Once they are covered with prayer it is best to
forget and leave them alone so the healing can come quickly.
I am reminded of the time our little girl removed a scab from a small sore. In the excitement of her accomplishment she called to me, "look Mom the lid came off."
Remembering makes me smile but also poses a question. How often do I take the lid off a hurt only to expose myself to pain and the extended time of healing.
Lord, grant me the grace to keep my hands off all my healing wounds so that once they are healed there will be no scars....... Amen

a petition
Give me eyes that I may see
Truth for now and eternity.
Give me ears that I may hear
The sound of your voice
Loud and clear.
Give me lips so I can proclaim
Words of deliverence in Jesus name.
Give me feet that I may stride
to hurting people far and wide.
Give me hands that I may touch
Those who need you oh so much.
Give me your mind that I may know
When to stay and when to go... AMEN

question
A few days ago I read this question in a work of fiction, " if you were facing the end of your life would you be pleased with what you have done with it"? Ponder, ponder, think, think. Well honestly, not everything. There is still time to make some changes. Praise the Lord!!!!! Old Quote: Only one life twill soon be past. Only what's done for Christ will last.
